So we kicked off our weekend with a mud auction in Lancaster with the Perry's and the Flinders. As the name entails, it's an auction, in the mud. They are held almost every weekend in the spring in different villages throughout Lancaster county and since it's oftentimes raining, you end up with a lot of mud. Up for bid is pretty much anything imaginable - Amish quilts, antiques, lumber, livestock, produce, plants, buggies, farm equipment, furniture, baked goods - even the occasional kitchen sink!
I couldn't believe the good deals people were getting on furniture. I'm talking $2 for a nice piece of furniture! Too bad we didn't have a way to get anything home, plus anything we buy at this point has to be shipped across the country in about 2 months so we just enjoyed watching other people get good deals!
This is where all the action was, in the horse auction!
We didn't stick around for the buggy auction. Sorry Grandma (she'd rather use a horse and buggy than a car anyday).
Saturday evening we attended the QuinceaƱera of one of my young women in the spanish branch. It was quite the event! This thing lasted from 5pm-12am, with an after party until 5am. We lasted until about 10:30pm (call us old).
And then there was Easter. The Chavez family invited us to a scrumptious Easter dinner. The table was so decorated so pretty!
It sure is nice to spend holidays with friends (our East Coast family) when we are so far away from family. We are going to miss you guys!!!

Wow! It looks like you guys had a fun filled weekend! I wish they had those kind of auctions here. $2 is hard to pass up:)
Where are you guys moving to? Are you going back to Utah? Good luck with the new baby!
You two find the funnest things in the world to do back there. You have the cutest little pregnant belly ever... I can't wait to see your little man, he is going to be just adorable.
You guys always have the most fun! You look so cute prego, and little. Does it sound crazy to think you only have a few weeks left. Are you ready! Any names yet?
Thanks for such a great weekend! Sometimes when I think about moving, I miss you guys already:( We had so much fun with you and the Chavez, maybe we should do it all again this weekend, what do ya think?
We were so happy you guys could come down to spend Easter with us. It's always so fun when we get to hang out with the Arthurs. Can't wait for the baby shower on Saturday!!
