We spent the weekend in New York with my parents and had a blast! Thanks mom and dad for showing us a good time!
It rained like crazy all day Friday so we mostly stayed indoors. That night we saw The Little Mermaid on Broadway--it was a fun show!

Saturday we "Rode the Ducks". Dad was really excited about going on this tour--anything involving a boat must be fun, right?
The best part was the launch into the water, it was almost like the log ride at Lagoon :)
Then we went over to the Rockefeller Center and took the Top of the Rock Tour

Next we made our way to the South Street Seaport where we had a great view of the Brooklyn Bridge and were able to relax and get some dinner
Sunday we went to the New York Botanical Garden
This is our cute tour guide. He's a retired arborist from Connecticut who drives down about twice a month to give forest tours.
On our drive home Sunday afternoon, we happened to go by Coney Island and decided to stop. Dave was pretty happy to eat a hot dog at THE ORIGINAL Nathan's, home of the International Hot Dog Eating Contest.

Good times! I'm so glad you got to see your mom on mother's day! We missed you guys, but at least you had fun! Dave, Matthew would be proud!
