On Saturday, December 3, 2011 we blessed Andrew Douglas Arthur. We did it on a Saturday so that Dave's family could make it. We gathered at the church, Dave gave a wonderful blessing, then we had dinner with homemade soups, rolls, salads and desserts.
My mom made Andrew's blessing outfit. I was going to attempt it myself, but then thought better of it. I asked my mom for help and then after we cut out the material together, she did the rest :) It turned out so cute!
We had lots of family members come for the blessing and it was a great day!
We sure love our little baby Drew!
That evening was the Helper Light Parade. We decided to brave the frigid air.
My brother Daniel and his family rode on the DWR float.
It was soooo cold! Luckily we were a little late so we weren't standing out there for too long. And Drew was fast asleep in his car seat and covered in layers of blankets so he was okay.
After the parade we gathered at Kristin and Loren's house and watched the fireworks and then went inside for cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate. Yum!
